Everyday you are alive, you mature. Its apart of life, there's no escaping it. As women mature, our bodies change. Everything about our biology shifts. To be honest we change every 7 years, for women after the age of 30 it feels like its down hill. That is just us being uneducated about our own anatomy. How we function on the inside tells a story about our skin. That's not a secret. What does seem like a secret in the dark is our skin once we hit a certain age. A woman's hormonal balance has so much influence on what our skin does. Not a lot of people know that we as women need certain level of testosterone, progesterone & estrogen. It doesn't matter if you are off by 1 number or a lot of numbers in each of these categories. Your insides are going to react to this influx of a hormone. Which means something will change in the behavior and appearance of your skin. Since we lost 1% of collagen and elastin everywhere once we turn 21. It impacts the health of your barrier. These Levels are complicated to measure however, once they are measured you can see how maybe you may fall somewhere high or low on a scale but still be "in range". Which is hard for women because genetically maybe your body runs optimally on a certain range for these 3 main hormones. When you are off, you are off. Here is some examples of what each hormone impacts your skin.
